It can be rather overwhelming when you are first introduced to WordPress. Besides getting to know its user interface there is also a dazzling number of plugins to choose from for a whole variety of different tasks. It can be a real challenge to pick the plugins you need for your website, also because new plugins pop out of the woodwork at a rapid pace.

When making a new website these are the 5 first plugins I install:wordpress plugins

Used by millions, Akismet is possibly the best way in the world to protect your WordPress website from comment and trackback spam. It keeps your website protected from spam even while you sleep.
